Report: Labor Market Revived The U.S. Labor Department releases an upbeat job report, showing an unexpectedly big increase in employment. In October, more than 120,000 jobs were created, and the unemployment rate dropped one tenth, to 6 percent. Every sector of the economy, except manufacturing, added jobs.
