Democratic Debate in Iowa Good Natured
The Democratic presidential candidates met for a good natured exchange of views in the final Iowa Debate before the caucuses on Jan. 3. The debate, sponsored by The Des Moines Register and Iowa Public Television, did not appear to do any damage to the three top contenders and it gave the others a valuable 90 minutes of Iowans' attention. Among the Iowans listening: women from a book club that has been meeting for 28 years.
