FBI Releases Most-Wanted Art Criminals
STEVE INSKEEP, host:
The FBI, by the way, has a new most wanted list of the Top Ten Art Crimes. The top crime on the list is a crime in Iraq: seven to 10,000 Iraqi antiquities were stolen from the Iraq National Museum and archaeological sites after the US invasion in 2003. Also included are a stolen Cezanne, a da Vinci and a couple of van Goghs (pronounced van-goes) or van Goghs (pronounced van-goffs), if you prefer. Art thefts cost an estimated $6 billion per year.
