Madeleine Brand talks with Ira Flatow, host of NPR's Talk of the Nation Science Friday, about the return to Earth of the Stardust space probe after a seven-year mission to capture microscopic particles of dust from a comet.
NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory are enlisting the help of Internet volunteers to sort through the reams of data the probe promises to deliver when scientists begin sifting through the tiny particles of comet dust captured by a special gel mounted on the probe.
