Hot Ice Cream Fails to Find Friends
STEVE INSKEEP, host:
Good morning, I'm Steve Inkseep with two things that didn't quite work out as planned. A North Carolina store is selling hot ice cream. It's flavored with three kinds of pepper, and two types of hot sauce. The first person to sample it threw up. Pregnant women and unhealthy people are now advised to avoid it. Then there's Pana, Illinois, where town leaders filled a time capsule with relics of life 50 years ago. Last weekend they opened it to discover a stinking mess. Water had leaked into the capsule. You're listening to MORNING EDITION.
