Good Christmas Music: 'Santa Baby'
MADELEINE BRAND, host:
We have more music to play now suggested by you, our faithful listeners. There was quite a response to a commentary we ran last week. Music critic Christian Bordal said in it, it is not possible to make good Christmas music. No way said many of you, and you sent in e-mails suggesting your favorite holiday tunes. Many of you suggested the same one: “Santa Baby,” sung here by Eartha Kitt.
(Soundbite of song, “Santa Baby”)
Ms. EARTHA KITT (Singer): (Singing) Santa baby, just slip a sable under the tree, I've been an awful good girl, Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight.
Santa baby, a '54 convertible, too…
BRAND: More to come, including another favorite, on DAY TO DAY.
