Energy Coffee Surfaces at 7-Eleven
RENEE MONTAGNE, host:
Adding a kick to your coffee, that's today's last word in business.
One of the world's greatest sources of energy is, of course, coffee, and 7-Eleven is selling a rocket fuel type of Java called Energy Coffee. It contains ginseng, yerba and other herbs - ingredients found in many energy drinks. Power drinks, generally, are hugely popular at 7-Eleven. Sales are up 20 percent from last year.
Not sure how the energy coffee tastes around here. It may not matter. They don't call us MORNING EDITION for nothing.
