Wall Street is keeping a close eye on the hour-by-hour fortunes of investment bank Morgan Stanley. The company has been considering a merger with Wachovia Bank, but HSBC Holdings and China's CITIC Group are showing interest as well. Meanwhile, the nation's biggest investment bank, Goldman Sachs, has seen its stock plummet, even after announcing better-than-expected earnings this week.
