DAVID GREENE, host:
Good morning. I'm David Greene.
Best team in baseball so far this year? The Tampa Bay Rays. But here's a bad omen. Ray's infielder Sean Rodriguez was attacked by a ray. The ballplayer was in the ocean earlier this week when a stingray stung his heel, causing a trail of blood. Ray's teammate Jason Bartlett called 911. We were panicking, he told a Florida paper, wondering if they've got poison in them. Rodriguez is fine, and back on the field. But since the accident, his team has been stung, losing three of four.
It's MORNING EDITION.
