DEBORAH AMOS, host:
Good morning. I'm Deb Amos.
There's lucky and there's Ed LaCoille. Six months ago, he lost his wedding band. It turned up at a dump in Deerfield, Massachusetts. A stranger found it, tracked him down by the engraving inside the ring. LaCoille lost the same ring while vacationing in Maine. He left a note at the lake house where he was staying. Two weeks later, the ring turned up in the mail. Now he's not taking any chances. He's having the ring resized.
It's MORNING EDITION.
