Nuclear Secret Leaker Vanunu Freed in Israel NPR's Julie McCarthy in Jerusalem reports on the release from an Israeli prison of Mordechai Vanunu who revealed details about Israel's nuclear weapons program in a 1986 newspaper interview. Vanunu was subsequently kidnapped by Mossad agents and taken back to Israel where he was convicted of espionage. Upon his release today, Vanunu said he was proud of what he had done.
