RENEE MONTAGNE, host:
Good morning. I'm Renee Montagne. In southern Japan, a long-haired Chihuahua has taken to following his master, a Zen Buddhist priest. As the priest sits in front of the altar to pray, the priest's pup joins him. As seen on the Web, the dog sits on his hind legs and joins his front paws together in a prayer position. Now the priest aims to teach his dog to meditate — though it might be a lot harder for the Chihuahua to master crossing his legs.
It's MORNING EDITION.
