RENEE MONTAGNE, host:
Good morning. I'm Renee Montagne. If you can remember what a phone booth looks like, picture this: 22 college students stuffed into one. It's the sort of stunt college kids were fond of in the '50s. Yesterday, students at St. Mary's College here in California recreated a famous Life magazine photo from 1959 of an earlier generation of St. Mary's students managing the feat, although today the bigger challenge would seem to be just finding a phone booth.
It's MORNING EDITION.
