RENEE MONTAGNE, host:
Our last word in business today is about another kind of home sale. In Austria, a millionaire businessman is raffling off his mansion and all its furnishings. He hopes to raise more than two million dollars for the villa, which has a swimming pool, sauna, mountain views. He doesn't plan to stuff his own pockets with the proceeds from the raffle. No. According to the local paper, the businessman wants to invest the money in a nonprofit that he started to provide microfinancing for people in developing countries, then he'll move to a more modest rented apartment.
And that's the business news on MORNING EDITION from NPR News. I'm Renee Montagne.
