Good morning. I'm Renee Montagne. When a 113-year-old bakery in Clare, Michigan was about to join other boarded-up businesses downtown, the local cops came to the rescue. As their Web site puts it, the entire nine member police department re-opened the bakery under the name Cops and Donuts. They now protect and serve the baked goods while offering mugs and t-shirts emblazoned with slogans like You Have the Right to Remain Glazed and Handcuffs and Cream Puffs.
