Jordanians must not have heard about the famous radio broadcast of "War of the Worlds." On April Fool's Day, a newspaper in Jordan reported that 10-foot-tall aliens invaded a desert town. Just like Americans who heard a fake broadcast about aliens in 1938, some Jordanians panicked. Parents kept their kids home from school. The mayor sent security forces to find the aliens, who were not there, having apparently stayed on Pandora.
