Even as "Desperate Housewives" brought TV writers back into prominence, it has led to some desperate advertising. Our last word in business today is painted on the asphalt. According to the L.A. Daily News, an ABC ad campaign has marked off parking spaces in some commercial lots. The painted stripes say Parking for Desperate Housewives. Apparently some people have complained. Not everybody likes being called desperate, even if they're just desperate for parking.
