STEVE INSKEEP, host:

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.

The man who bought Barry Bonds' record-setting baseball says he did it for you. Fashion designer Mark Ecko paid $750,000. He got the ball Bonds slammed over the fence to set the home-run record. Bonds is suspected of doping, which he denies. Ecko wants you to vote via Internet on what to do with the ball. You can send it to the Hall of Fame or brand it with an asterisk or put it on a rocket ship and send it into space.

It's MORNING EDITION.
