Boston Zoo Names Giraffe Sox When the Boston Red Sox won the World Series it was all but inevitable that some newborn would be named in honor of the champs. Maybe Red, or Fenway, or Boston. It turned out that the newborn was a giraffe, which came into the world the morning after the first game and named Sox.
