Sharon to Face Vote on Gaza Withdrawal Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will face a major test in early May when members of his right-wing Likud Party vote in a referendum on Sharon's plan for a unilateral withdrawal from the Gaza Strip. The outcome of the vote is too close to predict, but Sharon boosted his chances with President Bush's endorsement of his Gaza plan. NPR's Julie McCarthy reports.
