RENEE MONTAGNE, HOST:
Good morning. I'm Renee Montagne with the story of a cat on a hot tin - well, not a roof - a hot engine under the hood of a pickup truck. The feline stowaway survived a 28-mile ride across Pennsylvania to the parking lot of Mars Chocolate headquarters in New Jersey. People walking by heard purring from the engine, even though it was switched off. The kitty was quickly dubbed Mars for the chocolate and, appropriately, the hot, red planet. It's MORNING EDITION.
