RACHEL MARTIN, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Rachel Martin, and we raise a glass to Broncos linebacker Von Miller this holiday season, who decided to treat his NFL competitors to a little Christmas cheer by giving every player in the AFC a bottle of wine - a 2014 cabernet sauvignon - and a thank you note that read, quote, "it's an honor to take the field and compete with you twice a year." It went on to encourage the NFL players to, quote, "appreciate those who have helped you get this far and start working towards your next childhood dream." It's MORNING EDITION.
