On Ash Wednesday, a school cafeteria worker in Houston was scrubbing off the remains of a pizza tray, when suddenly emerged what looked like the Virgin Mary. Hundreds flocked to see the pan displayed at a local home. And wanting to give everyone a slice of the action, PTA mothers agreed to make the Mary pan a traveling shrine. When the school insisted that the pan be returned, the mothers did deliver it, amidst roses and singing.
