HANNA ROSIN, HOST:

It started with a smell. He just smelled different.

JOY: A sort of nasty yeast smell.

ROSIN: Joy told her husband to take a shower, but it didn't help. Over the weeks and months that followed, the smell didn't go away. It grew until one night, when Joy woke up to her husband attacking her.

JOY: He just got a hold of me, just grabbed me.

ALIX SPIEGEL, HOST:
